PRACTICE / STATEMENT

DE—NINE is the artistic practice of Igor Nilsen, exploring simulated matter, environmental data and the physical memory of landscapes.

Nature produces patterns through wind, pressure, erosion and time. DE—NINE reconstructs those forces digitally, using millions of simulated grains to create landscapes that have never physically existed.
